There will be additional departures on the local train between Fuengirola and Malaga and extra bus and Metro departures in Málaga centre during the Easter week.
Easter week or Semana Santa as it is called in Spanish, is one of the year’s highlights, especially in the big cities of Seville and Málaga. The large processions are taking place all week and attracts many spectators.
The railway line between Fuengirola and Malaga (Cercanías line C1) will have more departures until saturday. The trains will run almost continuously overnight on Thursday and early Friday, except between the hours of 3:30 am to 5:30 am. The extra trains will stop at all stations between Fuengirola and Málaga. This is because many of the processions on these days are taking place late at night and even in the middle of the night. In Malaga there will also be additional departures on public buses and on the metro.
