A 23-year-old polish tourist is fighting for her life after falling from a bridge. According to eyewitnesses, she tried to take a selfie and lost her balance.
The accident happened just after midnight on Saturday at the Triana bridge in Seville, writes the British newspaper The Mirror. The bridge is a great tursitattraksjon and one of the most popular places in Sevilla. The Polish tourists fell nearly five meters down a walkway in concrete next to the Guadalquivir river.
Her heart had stopped when paramedics arrived at the scene, but the paramedics were able to start her heart again. She is now being treated in hospital and her condition is described as very serious.
The bridge over the Guadalquivir where the accident occurred was built in 1854 and is surrounded by restaurants, bars and nightclubs. The bridge is called Triana Bridge since the 149 meter long bridge linking Triana district of downtown, but the bridge name is called “Puente de Isabel II”.
