Spain and several other countries increases terror alert after the attack in Paris on January 7 against the magazine Charlie Hebdo.
The horrors of the French capital Paris, where three Islamic terrorists shot and killed at least a dozen people have been brought disgust throughout the civilized world, not least here in Spain. There is currently an intense search of these terrorists, and there is a risk that they are trying to escape to Spain.
The alert is therefore increased to level 3, which means that all the country’s police forces take the precautions specified in the contingency plans. Level 3 does not include the military is engaged, but on the other hand they are being regularly informed.
For most people it will in means that there will be strict surveillance at station areas, airports and border crossings, etc. You should also expect that there may be identity checks and always have your passport or national identity card with you.
The wanted terrorists, that are “armed and extremely dangerous”, are the two brothers Said and Cherif Kouachi, both born in Paris, but of Algerian origin. The picture below comes from the French police. They are believed to drive a stolen gray Renault Clio with registration number 157NBZ75.
