It is Fuentes del Algar (Les Fonts de l’Algar), numerous waterfalls in the Algar river. You can bring blankekts, have a picnic lunch and spend a few hours with a swim in the flowing, icy water, in natural pools and waterfalls. You can also stroll along a 1.5 km long trail along the river and enjoy the beautiful scenery. The sources of the river has been declared as a protected wetland by the government since 2002.

The area has tourist information, parking, souvenir shop and a variety of restaurants and an area designated for picnicking. The area is located 3 km from the center of the small town of Callosa de Ensarria where there is also an ethnological museum and an amusement park – Dino Park, which has hundreds of cacti and dinosaur figurines. The distance to Benidorm is only 15 km so the area is ideal for a quick visit or a day trip.

There is an entrance fee in daytime: adults 4 €, seniors and students € 3, children 4-10 years € 2, younger children free. But if you get there after 4pm when ticket sales are closed, entrance is completely free for everybody.
