The bullring in Málaga is now being converted into a gastronomic and cultural center with a program throughout the year.
The large bullring la Plaza de Toros is being renovated for a new gourmet restaurant and a cultural program throughout the year, which will involve exhibitions, conferences, concerts and flamenco – and horse shows, among other things. The project has three goals: to give La Malagueta stability throughout the year, not just during bullfighting season; To liven up the neighborhood and in addition; To give the bullring a value as one of the most emblematic historic buildings in Andalusia.
The restaurant has already got its name, La Plaza Gastronomia, and will focus their menu on commodities and specialties from Malaga. Food – and vin tastings will also be held, which fits well with the brand Sabor en Malaga (Taste of Málaga), created on the initiative of the Diputación de Malaga, and collects local manufacturers under one name.
