This weekend on the 26th and 27th of November the pets are entering the Málaga Congress Hall when the fifth edition of the show Mi Mascota (My pet) takes place.
Municipalities, institutions, companies, organizations and animal lovers are gathering to socialize, exchange experiences, attend exhibitions and learn new things about their favorite animals.
Over 4,000 animals of most varieties (of which over 130 races) will be in place and more than 60 exhibitors and more than 70 different program items provide an exciting exhibition. It will include dog and cat shows, display of birds of prey and the opportunity to take a close look at insects and spiders. There will also be a photo exhibition under the name “Arctic Challenge”, which tells of Arctic adventure with dogs.
Among the items on the program include the demonstration of police dogs, service dogs and caring dogs and Agility Show. In addition, visitors will be able to see the breed “Russian Toy” for the first time in Spain.
The show’s main goal is to demonstrate knowledge of the pets’ needs and how best to care for them.
The organizers, Málaga Congress Hall, Malaga municipality and a large number of companies and organizations are justifiably proud to collect as many different actors in different care about the animals and their well-being and share their expertise.
The exhibition’s purpose and objectives are in line with the animal welfare work Málaga municipality conducts, where the importance of sterilization is a part of their work. In short they will also begin working on a DNA database to work against animal neglect and become more transparent in its sanctions against those who are mistreating their pets.
One of the exhibition’s highlights include “La mascotada” an animal exhibition where everyone can join! Great prizes for the winners in the categories most fashionable, most original or most impressive. The registration takes place on Sunday at 10 with a maximum 100 participants.
