Although winter officially arrives Spain on December 22nd at 5:48 pm, it does not mean it’s going to be cold and rainy. It’s actually going to be sunny and dry.
The weather wil be sunny and dry in most parts of Spain. The fact is that meteorologists promise dry and fine weather for the rest of the year. The only exception is, as usual, Spain’s top corner, Galicia. In addition, there may be some showers in the western provinces, Extremadura etc. But it looks good for the whole Mediterranean coast, the Balearic and Canary Islands.
If nothing unexpected happens, it seems that December has the potential to be the warmest December month since records began in 1940.
In Andalusia, the expected day temperature is between 19 to 23 degrees and in Barcelona, Catalonia between 15 to 17 degrees is expected.
Here was I actually going to post some pictures showing the Christmas weather back home un the UK, but I do not want to upset anyone – so I refrain. It is not looking too good.
