From October 25th the budget airline Norwegian will offer domestic flights from Madrid, Barcelona and Malaga to Gran Canria, Tenerife and Fuerteventura.
There are several other companies currently operating on these routes, but the reason that Norwegian is now investing in this market is because the capacity on these routes has been reduced while prices have increased. Norwegian has already many planes established at these airports and can thus easily open these flights.
Overall we are talking about 56 flights per week tells Norwgian in their press release. From Malaga there will be two flights a week to Gran Canaria and Tenerife, which make it easier to combine holidays to mainland Spain with holidays to the Canary Islands.
Norwegian already has several flights from UK to different destiantions in Spain. Norwegian is now the first company to offer free WiFi on domestic flights in Spain.
