The Thyssen museum in Madrid, Museo Thyssen-Bornemisz, will be the first in the world to create an opportunity for tourist guides and other professionals in the tourism sector to book tickets on-line. From the beginning the idea has been to make it easier for companies and employees in the tourism industry, which ultimately leads to more visitors.
“On our new platform the guides or tour operators can buy entrance tickets, make an appointment, confirm the number of travelers, and manage their entire order. It’s like a virtual ticket office where you can do everything from start to finish, “explains Elena Benarroch at the museum. Thanks to this tool visitors can now come to the museum and have everything prepared, they do not have to stand in line and thus save valuable time. “This new tool is launched to be a museum of the times, which is more accessible, flexible and always ready to learn”, says Elena Benarroch.
The museum is well worth a visit, whether one needs to stand in line or not, as there are several different themes with very intriguing and entertaining exhibits that make a different journey through the history of art for the visitors.
