There will be additional departures on the local train between Fuengirola and Malaga and more departures on bus and Metro in Málaga during the Easter week.
Easter week or Semana Santa as it is called in Spanish, is one of the year’s highlights, especially in the big cities of Seville and Málaga. The large processions are taking place practically all week and attracts many onlookers.
The railway line between Fuengirola and Malaga (Cercanías line C1) will have more departures between March 20th and March 27th. The trains will run almost continuously overnight on Thursday and early Friday, except between the hours of 3:30 to 5:30. This is because many of the processions on these days are taking place late at night and even in the middle of the night. In Malaga there will also be additional departures on public buses and on the metro. There will also be increased traffic on the railway line Malaga – Alora (Cercanías line C-2) during the Easter week.
The train station of Los Boliches has also opened now and will remain open throughout Easter week. Then closed it will be temporarily to get the final approvals for the new lift that has been installed.
