One of Torrevieja’s most significant hotel has changed hands and name. The Hotel Cabo Cervera is now called Hotel Playas de Torrevieja.
The hotel has been sold to Hotels Group Poseidón Benidorm for the tidy sum of 11.3 million euros. The hotel was built in the 80s as an apartment hotel, but was later rebuilt into a standard three-star hotel with 186 rooms. The hotel has been popular for public events, among others Certamen de Habaneras. It is also widely used for meetings and other private parties in the hotel’s lounges and restaurants. The hotel has a nice view of the sea and is 250 meters from the beach, 5 minutes drive from the center of Torrevieja.
The new owners also run six other hotels in the province, all with three and four stars, including Hotel Playas de Guardamar, formerly Hotel Campomar in Guardamar. The current management will remain in place for three years.
