Atocha train station in Madrid was evacuated today after a passenger claimed that he had placed a bomb belt inside a train.

A bomb squad checked the train, but found no explosives on board.

The train stopped 400 meters before it entered the station and the man threatened to blow himself up as he was arrested.

Atocha train station was hit by three coordinated bomb attacks in March 2004 in which 91 people were killed and over 1,800 injured.
