This weekend the streets of Torrevieja will be filled with dancers. The Dance festival Cuerpo Romo was first held in Madrid in June 2015 and now this year it takes place in Torrevieja.
The festival takes place on 2nd, 3rd and 4th of September and there will be dancing in the streets, workshops, photography courses, meeting with choreographers and organizers. It is the municipal Department of Culture together with the dance company Elías Aguirre who are behind this festival.
There will be contemporary dance in all its forms. One of the aims of the festival to make dance accessible to all children, youth and adults. They will prove that pavements and streets are a good location for dancing.
The official opening will take place at Paseo Juan Aparicio on Friday at 7 p.m. This will also be location for many of the arrangements during the weekend. The workshop is in the cultural center “Centro Cultural Virgen del Carmen” where there will be professional dancers who teach – everything is absolutely free for everybody.
As regards the workshops, they are free, but as the number participants is limited for each workshop you must enroll. This is done by sending an email to email@example.com where you write a personal reason for why you want to join and then enter the workshop in the subject (see program below).
