Tourism on the Costa Blanca is being promoted in tourism fair in Paris – IFTM-TOP RESA 2014
The fair started on September 23rd and lasts for four days, until September 26th. It is an international fair for especially the French tourism industry. The fair was established in 1978 in Deauville, in 2008 moved to Paris, where it quickly grew to become extensively for business, tourism, entertainment and events. Last year more than 1,300 travel-related companies from around 160 destinations worldwide participated.
Tourist Council of Alicante Province, El Patronato Provincial de Turismo de la Diputación de Alicante, has ensured that the Costa Blanca has acquired a prominent place in the Spanish national exhibition managed by Turespaña (Instituto de Turismo de España). The Tourist Council of Alicante believes that the fair is a key for the tourism industry because it brings together all actors involved, from tour operators and travel agents to airlines and event companies.
France is considered one of the most important markets for the Alicante Province, especially in July and August, especially for coastal destinations. Today there are good connections, because the airlines Vueling, Easyjet and Ryanair has daily flights between France and Alicante-Elche, according to the Alicante tourist council.
