ONE of “the Britain’s most-wanted” men was arrested in a bar in Calpe, Costa Blanca, while playing poker
The 53 year old Robert Knight from Walsall was arrested by armed police after being on the run for nearly 6 years. He had long been on the National Crime Agency (NCA) most wanted list as one of Britain’s most-wanted men. Robert Knight is thought to be a key member in a gang involved in selling and smuggling of illegal drugs and will appear ar the Spanish National Court in Madrid on Sunday.
Operation Captura, a multi-agency campaign between Crimestoppers, the NCA and the Spanish Police, was first launched in 2006. The NCA’s most wanted list is a part of the operation Captura which targets criminals hiding in Spain. Knight is the 62nd wanted fugitive to be arrested as part of Operation Captura.
