On the Costa Blanca the Easter week has started with a proper summer with daytime temperatures of around 30 degrees Celsius.
On Palm Sunday the beaches were almost full in cities like Benidorm and Torrevieja. The spanish newspaper Información writes that the cloudless blue sky and warm sunshine resembled more about July and August than March.
The hotels on the Costa Blanca are expecting to sell 75% of the beds, while the hotel in Benidorm is expecting the occupancy to be approximately 95%.
According to the Spanish meteorologist service “AEMET” the warm and fine weather will continue. The heat is expected to decline slightly on Easter Eve, but will still be around 20 degrees. Also Costa del Sol is going to get some nice “summer” weather, albeit with slightly cooler temperatures during the day than on the Costa Blanca, but the evenings will be hotter on the Costa del Sol.
