Shopping in MalagaCalle Larios is the main shopping street in Malaga and is situated in the old city in the heart of Malaga center. It is one of Spain's most expensive shopping streets and has several brand shops like Primark, Zara, Swarovski, Massimo Dutty, Stradivarius, Springfield, Claire's and so on.
The shopping street is always full of jugglers, street musicians and happy people. A stroll here is a special experience even if you should choose not to shop.
There are dozens of narrow side streets that zigzag away from Calle Larios. The side streets are also full of small tapas bars, cozy shops and restaurants and some brand stores like H&M, Tiger, SØstrene Grene of Danmark, Imaginarium, Superskunk etc.
Unlike many of the tourist resorts on the Costa del Sol, you will many exciting shopping opportunities in the side streets with shops that are not part of any large chains.
Shopping malls in MálagaEl Corte Ingles is located near the train station in Málaga city center and is Spain's largest shopping mall chain. It has several floors of clothing stores, gift shops, electric articles, sports articles and anything else you can dream of in a mall. If you are curious to try good food and national specialties, you should pay a visit to the delicacy shop in El Corte Ingles.
In the Maria Zambrano train station there are lot of shops like Bershka, Desigual, H&M, Marypaz, Massimo Dutti, Primor, Stradivarius, Swarovski, Zara and so on. There are also several restuarants here and a bowling alley.
The Larios Shopping mall is located between the two train stations in Malaga, "Malaga Centro" and "Malaga Maria Zambrano".
Shopping around MálagaThe largest shopping area on Costa del Sol is located in the Plaza Mayor which is not in Malaga itself, but just past the airport and next to IKEA.
In the area between Malaga and the airport you will find large furniture shops and shops for garden and terrace.
Malaga is the capital of Malaga province and is full of monuments for those who are interested in Spanish history and culture.
Malaga is not a typical tourist resort like many of the other towns along the Costa del Sol. There is a beach in Malaga but it is not of superior quality. If you're looking for a beach holiday, then you should choose to stay in Fuengirola, Marbella or Torremolinos and take one-day visits to Malaga.
