Restaurants in Fuengirola
Because of the large selection it can be difficult to find the good Restaurants in Fuengirola. A good tip is to look where the Spaniards go out to eat,
but then you should note that Spanish families usually don't eat dinner until 9 p.m. in the evening.
This is a selection of good restaurants in Fuengirola for you to enjoy whether you live in Fuengirola or are here on a holiday.
Kiva Excellent Spanish-Nordic gourmet fusion bar with healthy tapas and light meals.
Kiva is a gastrobar run by a team of food enthusiasts who had a desire to bring healthy and tasteful food experiences to residents and visitors of Fuengirola. Currently, they focus mostly on tapas, salads and light meals, but the menu is under development and we will see many exciting news from this establishment over the next few weeks.
Their tapas are not classic Spanish tapas that you can find anywhere else in Fuengirola. Instead they serve exciting fusion tapas that combines Spanish, Scandinavian and other ingredients. If you are a bit tired of the classic Spanish tapas, you should pay this place a visit, whether you are English, Scandinavian or Spanish.
Some of their tapas we can recommend are:
- Tomato salad with mozzarella, pesto and pine nuts made with organic tomatoes grown on the owner's farm.
- "Toast Skagen", is a Swedish classic lunch that is incredibly rich in taste. For those who have not tried it before, it's a toast served with shrimps and a dressing made of mayonnaise, dill and red onions.Risotto balls - a variety of Spanish croquettes; crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. But instead of the classic filling that you find in Spanish croquettes, these are filled with an incredibly tasty and tender risotto.
- Chorizo with Chimichurry. The chorizo sausages are tasty and spicy, while the Chimichurry sauce is sweet and sour. The contrast and balance between the two main ingredients creates a great taste experience every time you grab a bite of the tapas.
- Their lovely vegetarian Halloumi burger served with pickled onions and a sweet and spicy dressing that perfectly match with the grilled Halloumi cheese.
The bar is centrally located in Fuengirola just below the bus station, but at the same time they are slightly secluded from traffic, making it a cozy place to enjoy life with some great food or a drink. All their dishes are available with gluten-free options and gluten-free bread.
As mentioned above, their menu is under development and there will be some changes over the next few weeks. They will soon start opening in the mornings, serving healthy breakfasts. From autumn on they will also increase their menu with more dishes and larger portions.
They have a good wine selection with many good wines from the Spanish wine distributor Golf Y Vinos, including Quelías Rosé, which has been voted the best rosé wine of the year in 2019. Calle jacinto benavente 9, 29640 Fuengirola

Sea View Restaurant First class Asian food in relaxing surroundings
Sea View Restaurant is a family run restaurant that used to be an A La Carte Restaurant but they are now also offering buffet at a very affordable price. The premises are bright with big glass windows in a tranquil area in the harbour.
The buffet has a large selection of meat, chicken, duck, fish, seafood, vegetables, noodles, sushi, sashimi and dumplings. The buffet selection changes a little bit from day to day and in the weekends they also have paella and pizza. The chefs at Sea View Restaurant are also specialists in Peking Duck. The desserts buffet include ice cream pastry and fruit, but also has a selection of candy which is brilliant for families with children.
We have tried nearly everything from their buffet, ensuring that it has the standard we require before we can recommend a restaurant to our followers. We have tried their chicken and vegetable soup, stir fried vegetables, cod with parsley and garlic sauce, shrimp, chicken wings, beef with black beans sauce, Sze Schuan pork, chicken with bamboo and mushrooms, chicken with curry, Beijing duck, BBQ ribs, fried algae, breaded fish, fried onion rings, croquetas, clams and a lot of different sushi, nigiri and maki. Be careful with the tiny green packages of Wasabi as they will kick your socks off.
Everything is really good, including the sushi, and we can highly recommend this place for any group of people who want to enjoy a light lunch or a full dinner.
The bright relaxing decoration, comfortable chairs and the breeze from the sea make this the perfect spot to just relax, eat, talk and have a good time with friends and family. The owners and the waiters are very relaxed and friendly and make sure you are having a good time visiting them.
They also offer a service for those going on fishing trips in the harbour. You can bring your catch to their restaurant and they will prepare it for you. How awesome is that? Club Nautico, Puerto Deportivo, 29640 Fuengirola

El Garbanzo Chickpeas! Amazing and mind blowing flavours
El Garbanzo is a family run restaurant with a concept that exists in other towns around the world, but as far as we know there is no other restaurant like this here in Fuengirola.
Basically they are serving variations of hummus, topped with various ingredients such as spicy pulled pork, beef, chicken or various vegetables. They also have a few dishes that are without hummus.
The food is just as tasty as it is colourful and will probably make you sigh with joy while eating.
We have tried a selection of their dishes such as pickled beet-roots with red cabbage, fried eggplants with olives, pickled vegetables, and dices of cucumber and tomatoes marinated in a delicious sweet and sour sauce, Hummus, Falafel with hummus and Green Tahini hummus with coriander. It's all well balanced, and refreshing and easy to eat on a warm summer day. If you like coriander do not miss the fabulous green Tahini Hummus. Their Falafel is tender, soft and tasty, unlike all other falafel we have ever tried in Fuengirola (usually falafel tend to be a bit hard and tasteless) The pulled pork is spicy and rich.
For dessert try their amazing rose scented milk pudding with a magic flavour served in a cute little jar. We just wanted to sit there and enjoy the dessert for the rest of the evening, so we tried our best to eat it slowly one teaspoon at a time, letting the brain process the flavour.
Their menu is still under development and we will keep coming back to try their next releases. Avenida Ramon y Cajal 17, 29640 Fuengirola

Grand Café Santé An excellent international restaurant, a brewery, and a cafe with breakfasts, lunch and tapas.
Grand Café Santé is an excellent restaurant in the main street of Los Boliches just down from the Los Boliches train station. We have only positive things to say about this restaurant and their food. The interior is neatly decorated with fresh flowers on the tables and the employees do a great job in making you feel comfortable and welcome.
They have an international menu with a large selection of fish dishes and a large selection of meat such as steaks, chateaubriand, lamb, BBQ spare ribs and pork tenderloin. In addition they have a few chicken dishes, duck, an excellent Irish beef burger, an excellent Iranian beef and lamb kebab, and a few pasta dishes. The large variation on their menu, makes this a place where most groups of visitors could find something that would please their taste buds. We should also mention that they open at 09:00 in the mornings, serving breakfasts, tapas, churros and lunch.
They brew their own beer in four large tanks, Estrella Galicia, which is well balanced and rich in flavour.
Here are some of the dishes we can recommend:
The Foie with the paté is well balanced and very rich in flavour. It has a high umami-factor that really kicks up your taste buds and just makes you ready for more food. The Gambas al Pil Pil is tender and not rubbery with the perfect amount of chilli and garlic.
Another brilliant dish the Fillet of sole with spinach & prawn in Cava sauce. It's a super rich dish where salt, sweet, sour, bitter and umami all play their role in your dining experience. Because of the clever way this particular dish has been composed, the flavours are not mixed together, so you get to experience all the tastes again and again.
Duck a l'Orange with Rioja red wine sauce is another winner. Often when you order duck in orange sauce the sauce tends to be too sweet, but not this one. The orange is not overwhelming the duck, instead it has a sweet, but rich flavour where the wine plays a larger role.
The grilled Entrecote with pepper sauce and fried potatoes is tender and scrumptious, the potatoes are crispy on the outside and cooked to perfection, and the vegetables are not overcooked.
They also have some specialities of the house that have to be ordered in advance, such as Chauteubriand and their French rack of Lamb. This is definitely a place where you will come back for more. Avenida de los Boliches 95, 29640 Fuengirola

Pastamo Pasta and Love - Pasta Amo. A café, restaurant, vinoteca and gourmet shop.
Pastamo is a recently opened Italian café/restaurant run by the passionate food lover Salva and his team. They serve classical Italian food with authentic ingredients and the menu ranges from Mediterranean style breakfasts and sandwiches, classical Italian pizzas, pastas, salads, and traditional Italian cakes.
They also have some excellent gourmet platters from Italy, with different hard and soft Italian cheeses, cold cuts, cured hams, olives, sun dried tomatoes, marmalades and traditional Italian bread. They have four different gourmet platters on their menu with foods from various areas of Italy. Choose between platters from northern, central or southern Italy or the Tabla Pastamo. You can also select from a list of options to create your own gourmet platter. This is food perfect for sharing when you are a group of friends, colleagues or family.
One of the pizzas that we can highly recommend is the Pizza Emilia which is topped with Parma ham, parmesan and balsamico vinegar. It was very rich and tasty and the combination of the salty ham with the sweet taste of the vinegar blends perfectly with the Parmesan.
One of the pastas that we can recommend is the spaghetti with Roman Cacio Cheese and pepper. It is superbly rich and creamy. Another recommendation is their Strigoli pasta home made, tasty Genovese pesto sauce. The strigoli reminds a bit about Gnocchi and the sauce has a rich and nutty flavour.
The entire restaurant is decorated with natural materials that respect the environment, giving it a rustic look. It's a combined restaurant and shop where you can buy gourmet ingredients, such as pasta, olives, dried tomatoes, oils, etc. for your own delicious meals. They also sell craft beers and more 40 different wines.
The owner and the rest of his staff has this very attentive and friendly Italian way of treating people and will make sure you have a pleasant visit in his restaurant. Paseo Jesús Santos Rein 25, 29640 Fuengirola

Parrilla Cosquin An Argentinian restaurant located in Los Boliches and a paradise for meat lovers, with extremely tasty and tender Argentinian Angus meat.
Parilla Cosquin is an excellent family run Argentinian restaurant with a large selection of grilled Spanish and Argentinian meat and other Argentinian specialities. All the meat is grilled on their charcoal grill. Their Argentinian Angus meat is certified and fresh, ensuring that the meat never has been frozen. And we can assure you that this is some of the best steaks available in Fuengirola.
For a selection of meats, try a mixed parrillada with chicken, pork, and beef. But it's not all about steaks. They have three different affordable three course menus and a selection of pizzas and pastas. Try pizza Cosquin or Pizza Mexicana. All the sauces are made from scratch in their own kitchen.
For starters we recommend Argentinian Empañadas, Provolone Cheese or their Chorizo, which is very tasty, but yet not greasy.
If you are a real carnivore, try their large Argentinian parrillada which is a barbecue menu for two. But be warned: It has a lot of meat and can easily feed 4 people. You get 2 small Sirloin steaks, 2 short loin steaks, 2 rib eye steaks, 2 Chorizos, 2 black sausages, some potatoes and some vegetables accompanied with their home made Chimichurry sauce that lifts the experience.
Among the desserts we can recommend are the Queso Dulce de Batata, Tarta Cosquin and their mousse. They also have crepes on their dessert menu and traditional Argentinian crepes called Panqueqe.
Try it and you will leave the restaurant half-dazed and happy, planning your next visit. Calle Poeta Salvador Rueda 80, 29640 Fuengirola

Otelli's Kitchen Something for your taste buds and for your peace of mind.
Mike and Fiona have been running Otelli's Kitchen in Benalmadena for 12 years, but have now relocated their restaurant to Fuengirola. Lucky for us, since Mike is actually an excellent chef.
Mike makes everything from scratch with fresh ingredients, including all the sauces, dressings and emulsions, ensuring that all their meals are accompanied with flavours that lifts the food experience.
Their menu is very international with English, Dutch, French and Spanish specialities. Their steaks and burgers are made from Irish beef. If you like spicy food, they have Spicy Friday Nights with a special menu (bookings only).
They are located in a peaceful square in the beautiful urbanisation of Pueblo Lopez and is probably the only place in Fuengirola where the looky looky men won't come to bother you. Walking from the centre of Fuengirola up to Pueblo Lopez only takes a few minutes and is worth the journey because it immediately takes you from the "bustling tourist resort" of Fuengirola to an urbanisation that looks like a white Andalusian Village. Every little side street and house is beautifully decorated, giving it a Spanish atmosphere that immediately makes you want to buy a house there.
Some of their typical English dishes are Steaks, pies and spare ribs. Among their typical Dutch dishes are Fricandel, Bitterballen, and Dutch Apple Pie. Their Spanish dishes include classical tapas, Gazpacho, Paella, Zarzuela and dishes made for sharing. Among other dishes we can recommend are their tasty lasagnes made with mature Cheddar or Blue cheese (nothing like the cheap lasagne you can find everywhere), their salads all made with delicious home made dressings and emulsions, carpaccio, lamb chops, Schnitzel, and of course Sunday Roast served with potatoes, vegetables and trimmings.
Their selection of desserts is also larger than you would find in most restaurants here, and will make you sigh with joy. It includes Dame Blanche, Vanilla ice cream with Baileys sauce, Tiramisu, Carrot Cake, Chocolate Coulant, cheese, and pies. Even for the desserts we want to come back and try all of them.
If you like to enjoy breakfast or lunch in a quiet Andalusian square, they have a large breakfast and lunch menu with toasts, wraps, paninis, focaccias and juicy burgers made with Irish beef. All accompanied with fresh salads and Mike's tasty dressings.
Twice a month they have live music, a great opportunity to enjoy music and food in their lovely patio. With their location, it is a perfect place for weddings and other functions.
While we were eating there, there were several regular visitors and even a group coming from Benalmadena just to eat at their place. Try it and you will probably become a regular visitor too. Plaza Juan, Pueblo Lopez, 29640 Fuengirola

Casa Roberto is one of the restaurants that have been in Fuengirola for many, many years. They have a large menu with Spanish and international dishes. Their steaks are excellent and so are their skewers. If you like seafood, you should try their monkfish or their mussles. They also have one of the best Gambas al pil pil in Fuengirola. The really nice thing about Casa Roberto is the interior which gives this restaurant its intimacy. There are Golf Clubs hanging down from all over the ceilings and the walls are covered with signatures from their guests over the decades. They are Guinnes Record book holders for their thousands of Golf Clubs. Calle Espana 8, 29640 Fuengirola
