Restaurant La Chispa La Chispa is a very popular restaurant run by a lovely a Swedish/English couple, serving traditional Swedish, Scandinavian and international dishes.
Among their popular dishes are schnitzel, Swedish meatballs, soups, stroganoff, salmon and breaded plaice. Everything is home made with fresh ingredients and comes gluten free sauce or gravy.
A popular Swedish dish is their "Wallenbergare", which is a burger made from minced veal, cream and egg yolk which gives it a very creamy, soft and rich taste. It's served with home made mashed potatoes, peas and a jam made of a Nordic berry called "Lingon" which has a very sour taste and goes very well with meat. Another popular Swedish dish is their "Pannbiff", which is two home made scrumptious beef burgers served with home made mashed potatoes, creamy brown sauce, home made pickled cucumbers, caramelized onions and the Lingon Jam.
They have some lovely open sandwiches such as the herring sandwich and the plaice sandwich. A highly recommended speciality is their juicy Skagen Toast, which is loaded with prawns, red onion, dill, spices and mayonnaise. They update their lunch menu every week and on Sundays they serve an excellent Sunday Roast.
Their apple pie, cakes and pastries are all home made.
They always have a couple of gluten free options on their menu, all their sauces are gluten free, and some of their cakes as well.

Parrilla Cosquin An Argentinian restaurant located in Los Boliches and a paradise for meat lovers, with extremely tasty and tender Argentinian Angus meat.
Parilla Cosquin is an excellent family run Argentinian restaurant with a large selection of grilled Spanish and Argentinian meat and other Argentinian specialities. All the meat is grilled on their charcoal grill. Their Argentinian Angus meat is certified and fresh, ensuring that the meat never has been frozen. And we can assure you that this is some of the best steaks available in Fuengirola.
For a selection of meats, try a mixed parrillada with chicken, pork, and beef. But it's not all about steaks. They have three different affordable three course menus and a selection of pizzas and pastas. Try pizza Cosquin or Pizza Mexicana. All the sauces are made from scratch in their own kitchen.
For starters we recommend Argentinian Empañadas, Provolone Cheese or their Chorizo, which is very tasty, but yet not greasy.
If you are a real carnivore, try their large Argentinian parrillada which is a barbecue menu for two. But be warned: It has a lot of meat and can easily feed 4 people. You get 2 small Sirloin steaks, 2 short loin steaks, 2 rib eye steaks, 2 Chorizos, 2 black sausages, some potatoes and some vegetables accompanied with their home made Chimichurry sauce that lifts the experience.
Among the desserts we can recommend are the Queso Dulce de Batata, Tarta Cosquin and their mousse. They also have crepes on their dessert menu and traditional Argentinian crepes called Panqueqe.
Try it and you will leave the restaurant half-dazed and happy, planning your next visit. Calle Poeta Salvador Rueda 80, 29640 Fuengirola
