Read all about Feria del Rosario in Fuengirola 2018. We will post new photos and videos every day.
When: 6th to 12th of October every year
Price: Access to the fair ground is absolutely free. In the casetas you can buy food and drinks. Throughout the fair there are plenty of free concerts and dance performances inside the casetas or on the street.
Location: The event takes place on the fair ground, ie where the market usually takes place on the border between Fuengirola and Los Boliches.
There is a lot of flamenco dancing during this Fair and the whole city is covered in a festive mood. On 7th of October there is an absolutely fantastic firework at 9 p.m. All Spaniards are dressed up in their flamenco outfits and they are not only partying on the fair ground but everywhere in the city.
At the entrance to the fair ground there is a rather noisy amusement area with rides, roller coaster and various other activities. Inside the actual fair ground served much good food and drinks, and the party usually goes on to the wee hours. If you enter the various Casetas in the evening you can experience genuine flamenco, not the kind that you normally find in tourist resorts and you can truly feel how Spaniards let themselves be carried away by their national music.
Most shops and businesses are closed during the Fair, representing the termination of a very hectic tourist season. 7th of october is a local holiday in Fuengirola, while the 12th of october is a national holiday.
About one week before the fair, there is a Romeria in Las Lagunas in the Esparragal picnic park along the Fuengirola river. In 2018 the Romeria is on 30. September.
Fuengirola has one of the nicest and longest beaches on the entire coast. Several years in a row, almost all the beaches in Fuengirola have been awarded with the "Blue Flag" which is a quality designation that goes on purity, availability and ease of use.
