Festivals in Marbella

Marbella is the center of jet set life on the Costa del Sol. In marbella you will find celebrities, saudi princes and regular tourists side by side and the landscape is dominatet by marvellous mansions and well managed golf courses. But apart from the exclusive extravagant life Marbella has succeeded in keeping its andalucian charme. Small towns, sea and history also attracts those in search of a holiday resort where they can relax and chill. Marbella is easily reached by bus or by car and lies a 45 minute drive from the airport of Malaga.

The center of Marbella consists of the typical main street that you will find in all spanish towns; with shops, cafés and ice cream bars. By the sea side there is a long beach promenade with parks for children, pubs for grown-ups and cafés for people of all ages. Further on is the mansion of the deceased king of Saudi Arabia. It is difficult not to notice the gigantic house, the beautiful gardens and the huge white sword that rests in the grass. Right next to it is the mosque of Marbella, Mezquita del Rey Abdulaziz Al Saud. Beautiful, white and with delicate arab architecture it is a place for prayers but also a tourist attraction where curious visitors can get a guided tour.
